Our targets 2018-2019


Spring Term 2019




-I can predict what will happen next in a story based upon what I have read so far.

-I can use basic punctuation and some exclamation marks.

-I can use connectives such as because to extend my sentences.

-I can use my two, five and ten times tables to answer multiplication and division problems.

- I can use a range of different strategies, picking the one I find easiest, to answer multiplication and division word problems.

Autumn Term 2018
Reading Writing Math

I can fluently read a simple text.

I can answer a simple range of questions about a given text- fiction and non-fiction.

-I can use capital letters, full stops and question marks (when needed) in a sentence correctly.

-I can spell some common exception works correctly in my writing.

- I can recall and use addition and subtraction facts to 20 fluently, and derive and use related facts up to 100.

- I can solve problems with addition and subtraction by using concrete objects and pictorial representations, including those involving numbers, quantities and measures.

Summer Term 1
Reading Writing Maths
I can share my ideas and can tell you why certain things happen in a book or why a character says the things they do (inference)

I can remember to use key features when writing in different ways e.g. time connectives for a recount. Headings for information text etc.

- I can identify and describe properties of 2-D shapes including the number of sides and symmetry in a vertical line.

- I can identify and describe the number of 3-D shapes, including the number of edges, vertices and faces.
